It is aimed at those learners who are still at the early stages of learning English. There are also activities to accompany the text and the answers are provided on a PowerPoint presentation.

Unfamiliar words are highlighted within the text. Words in blue have an accompanying picture whereas those in black are included in a word list on the activity sheet. These need to be translated by the learner.

The activities are mainly simple – matching sentence halves or re-ordering sentences but there are also opportunities for learners to use new vocabulary they have acquired when talking about homelessness. There are also some comprehension questions that encourage the writing of full sentences.
