It covers both what is used to make various construction materials and also the processes involved, and has photographs of the construction materials and their components.

The initial activity teaches the basic vocabulary either by using a card sort or a PowerPoint. Once learners are secure in their knowledge of the new words, there is a speaking and listening activity where learners identify the components of various materials. They then make sentences using visuals to describe the processes used to make steel, copper, glass, bricks, concrete and limestone. Finally, there is a barrier game where learners have to complete a worksheet identifying construction materials on a photo of a city and then describe how they are produced.
